Hi! I’m Jessica,

founder of Roots & Sproots, a business inspired by a lifelong love of plants. I grew up in Massachusetts, where I learned to share my parents’ passion for gardening from a young age. After studying fashion and textile design at Cornell University, I moved to New York City where I worked under Martha Stewart, honing my eye for color and bringing botanical patterns and nature-inspired designs to textiles and home decor.

After more than a decade in NYC, my family and I settled in Chapel Hill, where I turned my focus to horticulture and container gardening. Every design I create is thoughtfully planned so that each container feels like a living work of art, with the aim of bringing the beauty of every season to your outdoor space.
